Faceless Channel Income Reference
Real monthly earnings by niche and view count, using RPM instead of inflated CPM, with AI tool costs subtracted. The numbers other calculators quietly double.
01 · Before anything else
You earn nothing for the first few months.
No calculator can change this. YouTube pays ad revenue only after 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. For a consistent weekly faceless channel that takes 4 to 8 months, plus 1 to 4 weeks for review.
Month 1-6
$0
Building the asset. This is where most people quit.
Month 6-12
$50-250
Monetization arrives. Double digits first, then low hundreds.
Year 2+
Compounds
Old videos keep earning while new ones publish.
02 · Monthly ad revenue by niche
What the views are actually worth.
These are RPM-based ranges, meaning what lands in your account after YouTube takes its 45 percent. Most articles quote CPM, which makes the same channel look roughly twice as profitable as it is.
| Niche | 10K views | 25K views | 50K views | 100K views | 250K views |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Finance / investing | $60-250 | $150-625 | $300-1,250 | $600-2,500 | $1,500-6,250 |
| Tech / software | $60-125 | $150-312 | $300-625 | $600-1,250 | $1,500-3,125 |
| Make money online | $48-70 | $120-175 | $240-350 | $480-700 | $1,200-1,750 |
| Education / how-to | $20-60 | $50-150 | $100-300 | $200-600 | $500-1,500 |
| Gaming | $16-40 | $40-100 | $80-200 | $160-400 | $400-1,000 |
| Entertainment / music | $6-25 | $15-62 | $30-125 | $60-250 | $150-625 |
Geography multiplies everything. These ranges assume a US, UK, Canada or Australia audience. An audience from lower-CPM regions can earn 5 to 15 times less on identical views. A finance channel might see $60 CPM in the US and $8 to $12 elsewhere.
03 · What you pay every month
The costs nobody subtracts.
Every income screenshot you have seen is a gross number. Here is what a faceless stack actually costs, at 2026 starting prices.
| Stack | What is in it | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Lean | One video tool only | $25-28 |
| Standard | Video + dedicated voice + design | $43-60 |
| Full | Two video tools + premium voice + design + AI writing | $95-110 |
Individual prices: Pictory from $25, Fliki from $28, ElevenLabs from $5, Canva Pro $13, ChatGPT Plus $20 per month.
04 · The number that actually matters
Views needed just to pay for your tools.
Assuming a $43 per month standard stack. Below this line, your channel costs you money. This is the honest finish line for year one.
| Niche | Monthly views to break even |
|---|---|
| Finance / investing | about 2,800 |
| Tech / software | about 4,600 |
| Make money online | about 7,300 |
| Education / how-to | about 10,800 |
| Gaming | about 15,400 |
| Entertainment / music | about 27,700 |
Reality check
A finance channel breaks even at roughly 2,800 monthly views. An entertainment channel needs nearly ten times that for the same tools. Your niche decides whether this works well or barely at all, and you choose your niche on day one.
05 · The part that changes the math
Ads are the floor, not the ceiling.
For most successful faceless channels, ad revenue is the smallest income stream. Videos covering software and tools can earn around $22 per 1,000 views from affiliate commissions, which beats ad RPM in nearly every niche.
This is why the AI tools niche keeps getting named the most profitable faceless category for 2026. Content never runs out because new tools launch weekly, CPMs are healthy, and the audience is actively looking to buy something. Sponsorships, digital products and memberships all scale independently of ad rates too.
